Edinburgh Hacklab holds regular open nights and occasional workshops. Here’s what’s on at the moment. Unless specified, all events are are Edinburgh Hacklab. Click here for information on our location and how to find us.
Hardware open night
When: Every Tuesday, from around 7pm onwards.
Anyone is welcome to come along on Tuesday open nights to hang out, discuss, and work on their projects. There’s a vague focus on electronics but anything goes really. If you have an idea or a project but you’re not sure where to start, or have got stuck somewhere along the way then come down and see if we can help. Don’t have a project but want to have a chat with some geeks? You’re more than welcome!
(Historical note: Tuesday open nights started out a few years ago as meetings of the DorkbotAlba group, but most of Dorkbot Alba are now Hacklab members or regulars so it’s merged in to Hacklab).
Software Night
When: Every Thursday, from around 7pm onwards.
Much the same idea as Tuesdays but with more of a focus on software. Come along and talk code.
Music Night
When: Third Friday of the month (see the calendar for the next one)
A chance for noisy, creative, hacky people to get together and do stuff. If you want to make music, hack instruments, perform, or just share ideas, come along for the ride. You can be into software, hardware, crafts, or anything really, so long as the end goal is to make a noise.
